INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL) PHOTOFACIAL

IPL photofacial is a non-invasive procedure that is extremely effective in reducing many common effects of aging, including facial wrinkles, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation. IPL will help to improve the color, consistency, and texture of the skin with minimal downtime.

WHAT IS IPL PHOTOFACIAL?

Our West Palm Beach IPL uses high energy light waves to penetrate the deepest layers of your skin. This broad spectrum light gently heats the dermis and the cells begin to produce fresh collagen. Collagen is a natural protein that helps to firm and tighten the skin, making the skin smoother and clearer, creating a more youthful appearance.

WHAT TO EXPECT

DURING AND FOLLOWING THE IPL PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENT

Patients will be given protective eyewear during the session to protect you from the bright flashes of light. A cool, soothing gel may be applied to the treatment area to help cool the epidermis during the procedure. Depending upon the treatment area the procedure may last anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour. During the IPL procedure you will feel a warm sensation typical to a light snap from a rubber band. This will deliver the pulses of intense light to the targeted areas breaking up the damaged vessels and melanin within the skin.

There may be minimal discomfort during the procedure. Treating the underlying layers of the skin results in little recovery needed after the IPL treatment.

Some patients can experience mild redness and a darkening of the brown spots following the procedure but it is safe to apply makeup and resume normal activities immediately. It is important to avoid the sun for several days and wear sunblock to achieve the most optimum result.

IS IPL PHOTOFACIAL RIGHT FOR YOU?
