ON THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE

Generally, you can expect it to last between 45 minutes and two hours, based on how many areas you are targeting. You will typically receive a local anesthetic and sedative to help you relax.

RECOVERY AND RESULTS

Immediately after the procedure, you will receive an ice pack to reduce swelling as well as an antibacterial cream to treat the region. Typically it takes one to two weeks to fully recover from the procedure with typical side effects mirroring that of a sunburn. Patients are recommended to stick to a healing routine of regular cleansing and the use of antibacterial and moisturizing creams as well as ice to reduce swelling. During this first week of recovery, it is advised to sleep with your head elevated and to cover the area as best as possible when out in the sun.
