Buccal Fat Extraction

If you have a very chubby lower cheeks or cheeks that resemble a "chipmunk cheek" appearance you may be a candidate for Buccal Fat Extraction. On some individuals, this can look good. On others, it looks like they are storing nuts for the winter. If you have chubby cheeks and you want a thinner, more chiseled looking face, you may consider buccal fat extraction, also called a cheek reduction.

Dr. Murphy removes the fat pads through a small incision on the inside of the mouth. Removal can help to achieve a more chiseled and sculpted look and will reveal the shape of the natural cheek bones.

Neck Liposuction

If you have a double chin or excess fat on your neck you may be a candidate for submental liposuction. Dr. Murphy contours the shape of your neck by removing the fat through a small incision under your chin. If there is too much loose neck skin and muscle Dr. Murphy may suggest a facelift.

Chin, Cheek and Jowl Implants

Facial implants can enhance your appearance and bolster your self esteem. If you are looking for improvement, not perfection, in your appearance and are realistic in your expectations, you may find that a facial implant is the right choice for you.

Dr. Murphy will recommend implants to bring better balance to the features of his patients. For example, a teenage girl may want her nose reshaped and her chin brought forward so that these traits are better proportioned.

The more mature patient may choose to have an implant placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure. For example, during a facelift, a patient may wish to have implants placed over the cheekbones to help restore a more youthful contour to the face. Pre Jowl implants may be suggested to fill out the area between the corners of the mouth and the jaw to improve a "sunken" appearance.
